Pool H

#1: Nafiizwan Adnan 3-2 Aqeel Rehman : (8-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-63, 11-4) - 54 min

#2: Eain Yow Ng 3-1 Jakob Dimberger : (11-7, 11-6, 7-11, 11-7) - 36 min

#3: Addeen Idrakie 3-0 Lukas Windischberger : (11-7, 11-2, 11-5) - 25 min

Undoubtedly a bit tired after his marathon yesterday against India's Saurav Ghosal, Nafiizwan Adnan also faced a very inspired Aqeel Rehman. The Austrian number 1 is a very experienced player and he went on with no pressure today, causing a lot of trouble to his much higher ranked opponent. But he ran out steam when he was 2-1 up, and the Malaysian established his dominance to win in 5 games and 54 minutes (8-11, 11-8, 9-11, 11-3, 11-4).  The second match was a clash of generation between 37-year old Jakob Dirnberger and 2016 World Junior Champion Eain Yow Ng.  The veteran put on a good fight and was able to come back to 2-1, but the Malaysian prevailed in the end and sent his team to the last 16, where they'll meet the winner of the Scotland v Malaysia tie.

Pool B

#1: Olli Tuominen 3-1 Leandro Romiglio : (11-9, 6-11, 11-9, 11-9) - 47 min

#3: Jami Aijanen 3-0 Juan Pablo Roude : (11-7, 11-7, 11-9) - 40 min

Finland had a tough tie today against a good Argentina’s team. In the first match Olli Tuominen had a great opponent, Leandro Romiglio, and had to fight through each point. However, the Finnish won in 4 games in 47 min. The second match was quite different ;Argentina’s Roberto Pezzota was too good for Miko Aijanen and won in 3 games. This decisive game was also a quick one with Jami Aijanen winning in 3 games against Roude.

Finland is qualified for the round of sixteen and will face Egypt
